How do they work?
Skin tightening PDO threads are made of Polydioxanone which is a flexible and durable absorbable polymer. Post treatment, the threads induce production of collagen in the skin which results in a tightening effect. The threads are eventually absorbed by the body.
Matrix Mono Threads
Matrix mono threads are smooth with no barbs, making them minimally invasive. These threads are usually inserted in a criss-cross pattern in order to achieve the best result. Matrix mono threads are great for skin tightening and rejuvenation rather than lift. They are particularly good for rejuvenating collagen to treat neck sagging, forehead lines and facial wrinkles.
Matrix Double Screw Threads
Matrix double screw threads differ to mono threads as they have 1-2 intertwined threads which result in volume to the treated area. These threads are great for patients wanting skin tightening and rejuvenation on the face and body.
When will I see results?
The results best results can be seen 2-6 months after the procedure, though results can begin to be seen around 6 weeks post treatment. Although the threads slowly dissolve, results will be seen for up to 12 months.
