What’s involved in a dermal filler treatment?
At OZDERM CLINIC Manly, we apply a topical anesthetic 20 minutes before the treatment, to ensure the procedure is pain-free. Dermal filler injections are then administered through injections/ cannula just below the skin’s surface, rejuvenating the area and adding desired volume.
The results of dermal filler treatments can last between 6 to 18 months, depending on the product used, skin type, lifestyle, and beauty regime. The HA injected through dermal fillers will gradually disappear safely and unnoticed from the body.
Aftercare
Immediately after treatment with dermal filler, there may be swelling, tenderness or slight redness in the injected area. These reactions are normal and should subside in a few days.
- Apply a cold compress to the treated area once or twice on the day of treatment (do not apply ice directly to skin, use a clean paper towel or gauze)
- Avoid strenuous exercise/activities for 24 hours
